Website Design

Here are some of the websites that I have designed and managed. Hover over each thumbnail image for a full-screen preview. Click on them to see the live site.

ChainStyle is my main site dedicated to Photoshop. I think it's been through so many redesigns it would make your head spin. Currently, I've tried to make it as XHTML and CSS compliant as I can, but of course there is always something to be done to keep it as compliant as possible. The one thing I am very proud of with this site is the fact that you can switch between css stylesheets and create a new skin for the site. Of course the floated-based 2-column layout is nothing to sneeze at. It took a lot of work, but it's finally starting to come together.

Tekscan is where I work day-to-day, and I manage their website functionality and design. I'm currently working on creating an online store which should be up and running shortly. When I first took over the site, it was comprised of a large image-map that was very counter-intuitive. You can see through a preview of the original site that it needed some help. I added a new look, as well as a customizeable javascript menu, a search feature, better navigation, footer, and a css-driven page specifically set up to print the page properly without a lot of the colored elements.

Big Sky Seminars is a website I designed for a client of Tekscan's. The main idea was to keep things simple and uncluttered. The focus was to create a simple space where users can come and see which seminars are going on and apply online. What I like most about this site is the main use of simple lines to create focus, and transparent navigation. Simplicity can still be creative and a pleasure to look at. In addition, the use of drop-down areas on the Event Schedule page seemed to work well to keep things tidy.

Terminal Juncture is my home space on the web for the time being. It was a design I came up with about 4 years ago, and while it still uses table-based design, I like it because I can quickly throw together some thoughts, photos, and anything else that strikes my fancy. It was first developed to provide a homage page to my fiancee who passed away. Something I still like to maintain.

Cover Concept

These two covers were created for a User Manual. The idea was later rejected, but I still liked these covers, and may repurpose them for a different project. I came up with the concept and put it together in Photoshop.

Cyanotype Project

This is a work I did in Photoshop. It is a Cyanotype that was composed of two other images: "Budapest" and "Statue" which are shown here. The process I used will be published in Photoshop Creative magazine (issue 16 I think) in the U.K.
